The daughter of a true marketing genius and part of a family of designers, Jennifer grew up in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. Throughout high school she worked for her father’s company processing black and white film, proofing and set designing.

Jennifer earned her Associates Degree in Art from William Rainey Harper College in 1990.  While attending Northern Illinois University Jennifer left to fill a vacancy in her father’s advertising agency, Dahm Advertising, Inc. There she continued as a Graphic Designer then transitioned to the Creative Director position which she held for 4-years. The company later dissolved the "agency" services, renamed the company SmartArt and focused on print design. After moving to Birmingham Jennifer first opened SmartArt South, Inc. in a spare bedroom of her home in 1996. Since then SmartArt has held two other office locations until its move into the Stonegate Office Condominiums of Liberty Park in 2007 where it operates today.

Jennifer is married to Chris Harris, a lifelong Vestavia Hills resident, and has two beautiful children, Marie and Turner, with whom she spends most of her free time.

Jeremy Cole came aboard SmartArt South, Inc., in July of 2012 as a Graphic Designer. Jeremy is originally from Oxford, AL. He graduated from Jacksonville State University with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Graphic Design in 2003. Jeremy brings more than 10 years of experience in the design and print production industry.

Prior to SmartArt South, Jeremy worked in the military retail industry. There he designed many printed catalogs for the US Army and US Air Force. His work included product photography, image editing and all of the layouts for catalogs. He also designed custom commemorative coins, unit flags, banners, t-shirts and a variety of novelty items for our troops.

Before he worked in the military retail industry, Jeremy designed and oversaw production of museum and park exhibit graphics. This process included graphic layouts, communicating with clients, graphic panel production and installation. These projects were for the US Fish & Wildlife Service, National Park Service and several other historic sites. Some of the exhibits Jeremy worked on include White River, Little White House, Vulcan Park and the USFWS Southeast Headquarters in Atlanta.

While Jeremy is not working, he enjoys spending time outdoors hiking or camping with friends. Jeremy also has a passion for photography and spends a time photographing the world around us. His favorite place to shoot is in the Cheaha Mountains near Talladega, Alabama.

Drew Sanders joined the SmartArt South, Inc. team in November of 2016. He found his passion for design and typography in early high school where he grew up in Southside, Alabama. After a few stops, Drew eventually found himself at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he graduated from in January of 2016 with a major in graphic design and a minor in printmaking.

Before joining SmartArt South, Drew had worked for Lindy's Sports Annuals as a production assistant and page designer. He did promotional work for the Bottletree Cafe along with poster design and for two years in a row was the primary designer for Beerfest Duluth's promotional pieces and banners.

Outside of work, Drew spends most of his free time with friends, hiking, writing, going to concerts, playing video games, and spending time with his family.
